This is a young brown bear who has caught a small salmon!!…and looks very proud of himself.
Sometimes the bears eat the salmon right on the spot but the younger ones usually run to a safer spot to eat in peace. The bears are congregating at the falls to catch the salmon returning to spawn. They are eating as much as they can to fatten up for hibernation.
