Species: Monarch Butterfly | Location: El Rosario Sanctuary, Mexico
Visiting the winter home of the monarch butterfly was a dream come true and the NatHab tour did not disappoint! While seeing the thousands upon thousands of monarchs was epic, focusing on macro is my happy place. The orange of the monarch wings bringing light to the dark was stunning!
About The Photographer
An amateur wildlife photographer, I love sharing my solo travels with my friends and family. I love using my photography to spread conservation awareness. In particular, supporting native pollinators is a huge part of me. When I am home, I'm diving deep into my garden and sharing my macro shots of pollinators. The monarch butterfly is integral to my garden planning and my conversation heartbeat. I had the chance to visit where the monarchs overwinter in Mexico on a Nat Hab trip and this doubled my resolve to share their conservation story. Wildlife conservation has been in my soul from a young age and my late start as a photographer is finally giving me a voice to share my passions visually.Follow Suzanne on Instagram: @Iiguanagal
