About The Photographer
Born in Ottawa, Canada and raised across the country, André Michel has been capturing beauty in the unexpected over 30 years - with whatever camera he could get his hands on (35 mm, DSLR, iPhone). The photos he presents here are true to the colours and contours of his subject as captured by the camera. He has found surprisingly beautiful shapes, forms and colours in nature, in architecture, in fine art, in cities around the world, and in the everyday of his backyard, his cottage, his street and the parking lot of his grocery store. In 2023, he captured these sensational photos of the Galapagos Islands on a Natural Habitat tour. In his eye, the everyday becomes the unexpected, the familiar becomes the exotic and exotic becomes unexpectedly beautiful.Follow André on Instagram: @andremichelphoto
