Species: Humpback Whale | Location: Reykjanes Peninsula, Iceland
This photo was taken in Iceland. We were on a Zodiac boat out in one of the inlets, watching for Humpback whales. I used a Canon 5DIII with a 400mm lens and as I was the only one in our group with a long lens, I was the only one who was able to get enough of a close-up of this whale. The puffin in front of the tail was an added bonus! As I was hand holding the lens, I put my camera on multiple shots and hold my finger down on the shutter. That way, I have a better chance at getting a sharp image. I also had to promise everyone in the group to send them a copy!
