About The Photographer

I have been doing photography since 1953. At the end of 2006, I started doing wildlife photography, and have now taken more than 880,000 wildlife photos. I am a past birding activity manager for the Rockfish Valley Trail in Virginia, the author of "A Photographic Guide to the Birds of Wintergreen", and am listed in the Virginia Society of Ornithology’s Speakers Directory. My wildlife photos have appeared in newspapers, magazines, web sites, government reports and presentations, and on wildlife and birding trail signs in Virginia and Maryland. My own web site contains more than 9,000 of my wildlife photos, and gets about 3 million hits per year from visitors in more than 80 countries around the world.
