Species: Arctic Tern | Location: Vigur Island, Westfjords, Iceland
Vigur, a private island half an hour from Isafjordur by boat, is a birder’s paradise, known for its Eider ducks, puffins, Guillemots, and arctic terns. As we were disembarking from our boat and being greeted by our hosts, this arctic tern came in for a landing next to its mate to say hello!
