This closeup of a Mountain Gorilla Silverback is remarkable in its detail and its similarity to human hands. This Silverback's hand is tough and leathery, with thick fingernails perfect for foraging plants and roots, the main content of their diet. I imagine that each gorilla has unique finger and palm prints - and the detail on this palm print is exquisite.
