Species: Hippopotamus | Location: Maasai Mara, Kenya
While driving through the Maasai Mara, we stopped at a large watering hole populated by a bloat of sizable hippos. As these beautiful creatures rhythmically rose above the water to take a breath, then submerged to feed, our cameras were clicking away - capturing their every move. Then, a bonus - this giant fellow raised his head out of the water and gave us a most impressive yawn - showing all 4ft of his jaw span. He gave a whole other meaning to "Jaws"
