Species: African Wild Dogs | Location: Gomoti Tented Camp, Okavanga Delta, Botswana
On our trip to Botswana, one of the highlights was following a pack of wild dogs. This group included adults and several young pups. Just after snapping this photo of the excited, intelligent face of one of the males, he jumped up and began a high pitched verbal and physical frenzy to rouse the others to get on the move. The group shortly moved out, the adults taking turns to lead the pack with the youngsters at the rear.
About The Photographer
I'm an amateur photographer with a love for wildlife and the natural world, specializing in capturing the beauty and diversity of our environment. Recently, my focus has shifted to bird photography, where I find inspiration in documenting the behaviors and details of all species that I encounter. My involvement with our local raptor rehabilitation facility has added depth to my work, allowing me to connect with these incredible birds on a meaningful level. Through my lens, I aim to tell the story of nature’s resilience and inspire a greater appreciation for wildlife conservation.Vote for this photo in the Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest People’s Choice Awards!
