Species: Canada Jay | Location: Churchill, Manitoba , Canada
This photo was taken during a dogsledding excursion in the boreal forest on my Nat. Hab. trip to Churchill, Manitoba. This Canada jay was very bold as it flew back and forth caching its food for colder weather.
About The Photographer
I’m an artist, with a background in biological science, who works in oil paint. I am passionate about birds, wild animals, including polar bears, and just about any living creature! Recent painting collections have highlighted the polar bear and other Arctic animals. Endangered and threatened animal species from around the world are facing survival challenges with loss of natural habitats. Many of my wildlife paintings depict these creatures in their environments. I hope to raise awareness of the importance of conservation efforts for all these magnificent animals.Vote for this photo in the Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest People’s Choice Awards!
