Species: Leopard | Location: Gomati Camp, Botswana
It was our last evening game drive at Gomati Camp and our group had still not sighted a leopard. Not far from the camp we were alerted that a pair of mating leopards had been spotted.
As we arrived at the scene, we noted that the male leopard was frightened by the vehicle and would run away, but the female followed the male with single-minded determination. At one point after she had tracked the male down, we witnessed the pair during a moment of intimacy.
