Species: Ursus Americanus Kermode Spirit Bear | Location: Great Bear Rain Forest, Canada
Kermodie (Ursus americanus kermode} or Spirit Bear on Gribbell Island in Great Bear Rain Forest British Columbia. Kermode or Spirit bear have a recessive mutation that leads to their blond color. They are rare and mostly on Gribbel Island. We were privileged to have the opportunity to see one of these bears on the Riorden Creek in the Gitga first nation home.
