Hidden South Africa July 2023 - Madikwe Game Reserve. This was our last morning game drive before heading on to Marataba. It had been a quiet morning, then camp guide spotted something off the road, heading into the bush and we spotted the rhino. It took off in the opposite direction where we could not follow. We headed back to the road, turned the corner and out stepped the rhino heading straight for us. We stopped to give space and then the calf steps into the road behind mama. The sun was rising and was at the right angle to provide some beautiful highlights. One of our top 10 sightings of all time!
