Species: Leopard | Location: Mala Mala , South Africa
I actually snapped the series of shots to get to the full yawn. The leopard was resting in a spot under the trees just off the road. Very photogenic and cooperative for lots of pictures. The size of the teeth and the roughness of the tongue amaze me. Shortly after this was taken, he walked down the road in front of us, started stalking some prey and actually caught a Duiker in the brush and ran it up a tree.
About The Photographer
I am truly an amateur photographer. I love taking pictures on our adventures of nature, scenery and wildlife. I honestly only take pictures while on vacation, so I'm always hoping to get some good shots. I've been fortunate in our travels with Nat Hab to have amazing guides who are so willing to help with camera settings. I can honestly say, I've learned a lot.Vote for this photo in the Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest People’s Choice Awards!
