Species: Land Iguana & Sally Lightfoot Crab | Location: Galapagos Islands (Fernandina Island), Ecuador
Great trip to the Galapagos Islands in June 2023....so many great photos. But this is one of my favorites as it juxtaposes the large land iguana against the smaller Sally Lightfoot crab. Even though we only see the crab from behind, it appears to me that the crab is trying to look big and menacing, while the iguana is holding its ground. And the look on the iguana's face - giving that crab the "side eye" as if to say, "Don't try it, buddy!!!"
