Bear On The March

Later in the afternoon of a beautiful day in Churchill, this bear started walking towards our rover, with the snow glistening all around it. I got several photos of it making its way closer, but I was so lucky to snap this photo when he looked right at me. I love how the photo shows the massiveness of his shoulders and body and illustrates the intent in his eyes....like he was determined to come and greet us. I like how the angle of the late sun caused one side of his body to be more white and the other to be more in shadow.
