Species: Monarch Butterfly | Location: El Rosario Sanctuary, Mexico
Visiting the winter home of the monarch butterfly was a dream come true and the NatHab tour did not disappoint! While seeing the thousands upon thousands of monarchs was epic, focusing on macro is my happy place. I love how the tree branches framed this monarch.
About The Photographer
An amateur wildlife photographer, I love sharing my solo travels with my friends and family. I love using my photography to spread conservation awareness. In particular, supporting native pollinators is a huge part of me. When I am home, I'm diving deep into my garden and sharing my macro shots of pollinators. The monarch butterfly is integral to my garden planning and my conversation heartbeat. I had the chance to visit where the monarchs overwinter in Mexico on a Nat Hab trip and this doubled my resolve to share their conservation story. Wildlife conservation has been in my soul from a young age and my late start as a photographer is finally giving me a voice to share my passions visually.Follow Suzanne on Instagram: @Iiguanagal
