Taken from the platform at Brooks Falls, Alaska on a NatHab trip during the salmon run, this was a shot I'd hoped to get. But I got so many great bear pictures with no time to scan through them that I didn't realize I actually got it until I got back to our lodge and loaded them onto my computer. Happiness!
I originally framed this image to include the entire bear when shot but cropped it for maximum impact.
