Bengal Tiger, Ranthambore National Park, India
Chilling Out

Species: Bengal Tiger | Location: Ranthambore National Park, India

This photo of a Bengal tiger lounging in the water in India was taken on safari in Ranthambore National Park on a Natural Habitat Photo Tour of India including multiple national parks, the pink city of Jaipur and the Taj Mahal in Agra. We were thrilled with 6 days of safari in Ranthambore National Park and saw 7 different tigers. This tiger was sleeping in the cool water when our jeep approached. We watched him resting, rise out of the water, walk toward our vehicle and then stroll away. His paws were massive. Our photo safari featured only 5 guests with Conan as our national guide and we had 3 different jeeps each with our own local guide and driver- very personal and exceptional service daily. The local guides really knew the territories of all the tigers in Ranthambore National Park and finding the tigers was a daily successful quest. The image is 7728 x 5152 px and 22 MB.
