Species: Red Lechwe | Location: Okavango Delta, Jacana Camp, Botswana
This fleeting photo was taken at sunrise on June 29, 2019 around 6am at Jacana Camp on the Okavango Delta in Botswana. What a reward for waking up before sunrise! The single red lechwe is reflected in the water. Stunning scenery. Vic of Natural Habitat was our guide. My Fujifilm XT2 camera captured the colors far better than any of the other photographer's equipment on our Secluded Botswana Safari. The clear air of the African sky leads to brilliant sunrise and sunset colors, just like our home setting in New Mexico. The image is 6000 x 4000 px and 11MB.
