Species: Brown Bear | Location: Brooks Falls Area, United States Of America
While waiting to cross the river at an observation/safety deck at Brooks Falls I observed a large brown bear walking along the shoreline headed towards our perch. I wanted to get a different type of bear shot, one that would capture their power and speed. Suddenly the bear started to run and I pre-focused on a spot on the ground where I anticipated the bear to pass. My timing was spot on and by focusing on the spot and not panning on the bear and using a relatively low shutter speed I was able to freeze its magnificent paw and the blurred body suggests its speed. One of my proudest shots!.
