Species: Jaguar | Location: North Pantanal, Porto Jofre, Brazil, Near Hotel Pantanal Norte, Brazil
We had a very successful visit to the North Pantanal and had seen all the wildlife we could have hoped for including seven jaguars. As we were driving (quite fast) back to the lodge on our last boat ride of the trip, two of the group yelled “Jaguar”! Our driver slowed and turned the boat around. This huge male was walking down the bank toward the river. We were able to spend about 30 minutes watching him without another boat around. A magnificent way to end our time in the North Pantanal.
