Species: Howler Monkey | Location: Tarcoles River , Costa Rica
I photographed this Howler Monkey near our lunch stop prior to the Tarcoles River Cruise on our January 2024 Lindblad pre-tour (booked through NatHab) of Costa Rica and Panama. He wasn't quite sure what to make of the long lens on my camera, and kept a close eye on me while I took photos. This was our 4th attempt to travel to Costa Rica and Panama. The 2021 and 2022 tours were cancelled because of COVID, and we had to cancel a 2023 tour because of medical reasons.
