When on a Polar Bear tour, other critters oftentimes get overlooked. This Willow Ptarmigan stayed still long enough for me to snap a nice picture of it. Notice the feathers going down it's legs and, while you can't really see them, between the birds toes acting like snowshoes. If this bird picture had any other background, you might not have been able to see the bird.
