Species: Lion | Location: Linyanti, Botswana
Riding down the road, heading to our first safari lodge (Linyanti) our group was amazed at the variety of animals we saw. The highlight of the day was seeing some lions on a "march." Because it was the dry season, our guide knew where they were headed. He took off & got ahead of the lions, went around a waterhole & stopped the vehicle (with the sun at our backs), turned off the engine off & we just watched as the lions came down to to the waterhole. It was a wonderful way to start our safari vacation.
As we got closer to the lodge, we all said if we went home the next day, we would be happy.
