Species: Lions | Location: Tarangire National Park, Tanzania, United Republic Of
I was amazed to find lions sleeping in a tree. I had always thought that there were only two places where this happened (Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda and Lake Manyara National Park in Tanzania). There are many theories as to while this happens. One theory is that they climb trees to avoid tse-tse flies. That could certainly be the reason here as the tse-tse flies were absolutely terrible on this visit to Tarangire National Park
