Species: Galapagos Sea Lion | Location: Isle Lobos, San Cristobal , Ecuador
While on our final morning panga ride in the Galapagos we were touring around Isle Lobos near San Cristobal. The main land event was the Frigate Birds, both Magnificent and Great, flying about the island with the males showing off their beautiful mating plumage and red gular sac. Not to be outdone the Galapagos Sea Lions were playing amongst the rocks and would come up to the pangas for a closer look at the intruders in their midst. This young pup was outlined in a translucent film that made him appear other worldly.
