Perfect Christmas Day
Location: Antarctica Archipeligo Continent Side Of Gerlatch Strait, Antarctica
Holiday NatHab Trip to Antarctica onboard the MY Ocean Tramp. On this Christmas morning it was mirror calm and the skies were a light steel gray indicating a gentle snowfall to follow. We explored the harbor via kayak in the perfect quiet with only the occasional sound of the humpback whales surfacing and the gentle crunching of the ice against our paddles. This shot was taken from the kayak from across the harbor - the sailboat looked like a replica scenario of the "Endurance" from the water line view.
