Species: Grizzly Bear | Location: British Columbia Great Bear Rain Forest, Canada
While we were exploring an estuary in our zodiac boat, a mother grizzly and her cub emerged to do some salmon fishing. We were at an appropriate distance, so she wasn't concerned at all about the people floating nearby. But for the cub, it may have been the first time he had ever seen humans. He couldn't resist the urge to peek over her back to check us out.
