Species: Hoatzin Or Stinkbird | Location: Peruvian Amazon, Peru
These Hoatzin or Stinkbirds were seen in large numbers off the banks of a large Amazon tributary. We were greeted by a distinctive pungent-smelling odor emanating from this large colony of birds, generated by the fermentation of the leaves they consume.
