Species: Sled Dogs | Location: Churchill, Manitoba, Canada
One of the highlights of my Natural Habitats trip to Churchill, Manitoba was visiting the sled dogs at a local racer's facility and going on a sled ride. It was late in the day and the shadows were long. The air was crisp and clear and the dogs were extremely excited because they knew that they were going to go for a run, which is what they love to do. There was a lot of yipping and barking and the dogs were jumping up and down before they were taken off their leashes and led to their sleds. The dogs ran fast and the ride was a lot of fun!
