Species: Tufted Capuchin Monkey | Location: Near Cristalino Lodge In Brazilian Amazon , Brazil
This tufted capuchin monkey appeared in the greenery near the dock near Cristalino Lodge as we were about to go out on the boat. At first the monkey was deep inside the greenery, which made for very difficult lighting for photography. The monkey finally came out more in the open where the light was much better. It stared at us for a while and had an extraordinarily expressive face, frequently wrinkling its forehead. I like the greenery around the monkey and I like that image shows its hands so clearly.
