Species: African Lion | Location: Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania, United Republic Of
This magnificent lion had just fed on a wildebeest and was basking in the afternoon sun. Although he was isolated with the walls of the crater rising up behind him, he kept a close eye on the rest of the pride who remained with the kill.
About The Photographer
I'm an amateur photographer with a love for wildlife and the natural world, specializing in capturing the beauty and diversity of our environment. Recently, my focus has shifted to bird photography, where I find inspiration in documenting the behaviors and details of all species that I encounter. My involvement with our local raptor rehabilitation facility has added depth to my work, allowing me to connect with these incredible birds on a meaningful level. Through my lens, I aim to tell the story of nature’s resilience and inspire a greater appreciation for wildlife conservation.Vote for this photo in the Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest People’s Choice Awards!
