This photo was taken at Brooks Falls, Katmai, Alaska in July 2023 on NatHabs Ulimate Alaska Wildlife Safari. As the salmon swim upstream to try to get to their spawning grounds, the bears situate themselves at the top or bottom of the falls catching and eating as many as possible in preparation for hibernation.
