Species: Lion | Location: Mara Conservancy, Kenya
We settled in with this lion pair for a LONG morning, as they lounged in the sparse shade of a lone tree on the savanna. When they finally stirred, we hoped they would muster up some energy to stalk the thousands of wildebeest moving through the region. Well, they mustered up a bit of energy, but only to briefly mate and then immediately return to rest. And so it goes....

I am an amateur wildlife photographer, and middle school science teacher, who loves to explore the outdoors! Whether I'm on a safari in Kenya or hiking in a local park in Virginia, I enjoy learning new photography techniques & strategies and capturing wildlife from interesting angles.
