Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest

Lion, Tswalu Reserve, South Africa
Eye Of Africa

Species: Lion | Location: Tswalu Reserve, South Africa

Early morning drive to see lions at Tswalu Nat Hab extension from Hidden South Africa October, 2024. We came upon a lioness feasting on a Hartmann's Mountain Zebra from an apparent kill the night before. Two other lionesses were resting in the tall grass nearby. I took many photos with my Sony RX 10 IV. I do not edit my photos in any way. My guide suggested I try and photograph the eyes of the lion while eating. I took many photographs until I noticed a circle in the bone of the Zebra. I captured the moment.

About The Photographer

I purchased my current camera for my first Nat Hab trip in 2019 to Botswana. All my photography is a result of multiple Nat Hab trips. Each trip has developed my skills. I am strictly an amateur photographer.
