Species: Bengal Tiger | Location: Ranthambore, India
Photo is from the Tiger Quest trip with NatHab to Ranthambore National Park in April 2024. Two sub adult cubs were feeding on a sambar deer their mother had recently caught. The deer was in deep brush and a lot of other jeeps had gathered to try and catch a glimpse of the cubs. Our local guide suggested we try going around the backside of the area where the tigers were at in case one came over the hill for a drink. We followed his advice and moments later one of the cubs came down the hill to drink and peek at us through some branches. We were the only jeep watching the cub as he watched us right back.
