Tiger. (Panther Tigris), Ranthambhore National Park, India
“The Most Magnificent Creature In The Entire World, The Tiger Is.”

Species: Tiger. (Panther Tigris) | Location: Ranthambhore National Park, India

As we entered Ranthambhore Park we passed a tiger resting in the shaded edge of a muddy watering hole . We sat for a while hoping that he might prey upon one of the Sambar Deer that came to the pond to graze and drink . We moved on to other parts of the park after an hour of observation and no action. On our way out of the park we circled back to the watering hole again and were just in time to catch an action shot of the same tiger in hot pursuit of a Sambar deer. Timing is everything!!!!!

Spoiler alert: The tiger was unsuccessful in his quest to catch the deer, but it was a magnificent sight to behold!
