Species: Galapagos Hawk | Location: Galapagos, Near Isabela , Ecuador
Galapagos is by far my favorite place that I have visited. This picture was taken during my 2nd trip on one of our morning walks. Our group came across this Galapagos hawk sitting on a low tree branch. The hawk was not bothered by us at all and we stood and watched it for quite a few minutes. It eventually flew down to a branch that was just above us. We were all able to take many pictures and videos of it. This is one of the reasons I love Galapagos so much - you can get so close to wildlife that has no natural fear of humans. It is truly an amazing place and I hope to visit again some day.
About The Photographer
A homebody who loves to travel, I am passionate about nature and wildlife photography. I prefer trips that focus on wildlife but any nature trip replenishes my soul and give me a sense of peace. Wildlife behavior fascinates me and I am happiest when I am outside taking pictures. I love exploring and finding often overlooked subjects to photograph. I enjoy sharing the beauty of nature with those who may not be able to experience it for themselves.Follow FaIth on Instagram: @faithht18
