Species: Koala | Location: Hanson Bay Wildlife Santuary, Kangaroo Island, Australia, Australia
During our Southern Australia and Tasmania adventure, we travelled to Kangaroo Island - the site of the horrendous wildfires in 2019-20 that devastated 40% of the island. We were delighted to discover that the koala population there is strong and growing. This year-old joey sat for the longest time as NatHab guests photographed.
