This rare white bison was born in Yellowstone on June 4, 2024. This rare event is considered a blessing by the native Indian tribes and it is the first reported in Yellowstone. The calf disappeared shortly after birth and has never been seen again. This event made national news. In this photo, the calf is about an hour old.

I am a retired physician and became interested in photography about 15 years ago. I enjoy sports photography and work locally at several high schools and have photographed numerous West Point and Colgate University sporting events.
