Species: Cape Fur Seal | Location: Skeleton Coast, Namibia
The Skeleton Coast and a large colony of fur seals provides quite a contrast to Namibia's deserts, salt pans, and vast plains. This perspective was enhanced with the use of a telephoto lens, compressing the distance between the sunbathing seals on shore and their surfing relatives in the large waves beyond. Both the playfulness and swimming skill of these seals are on display as they glide under, through and above the waves!
