Elephants, Okavango Delta, Botswana
Elephant Mother And Calf

Species: Elephants | Location: Okavango Delta, Botswana

We came across this herd of elephants while boating near the Jacana Camp in the Jao Reserve. There were several mother and calf pairs. We watched in amazement how this mother was teaching her calf how to pull up grass and, and, later, how to drink. It was fascinating to see the calf mimic Mom's every move.
