Species: Monarch Butterflies | Location: El Rosario Butterfly Sanctuary, Mexico
This photo captures Monarch Butterflies basking in the warm sunlight up in the mountains of the El Rosario Butterfly Sanctuary in Mexico. These amazing creatures were warming their wings in the warm Mexican sun. Seeing millions of them all around & realizing they had completed the long journey from the Northern US & Canada, gave me hope that we will do better at protecting our environment & preserving these wonders of nature.
