This is one of the beautiful views at the picnic grounds where we had a yummy picnic lunch on Day 3 of our 8-day NatHab Canadian Rockies trip in July 2024. The picnic lunch turned out to be the last official part of this trip, as we were then evacuated from the Lake Louise Inn after lunch and driven back to Calgary because of the terrible wildfires in western Canada (thank you NatHab for your calm and wonderful handling of all this -- safety first for sure!!!). This photo has a lot of meaning for me because of where and when it was taken relative to what happened on the trip. Plus I am thrilled with the way I was able to frame it and get the reflection just the way I wanted it.
About The Photographer
In spite of not making it to the NatHab Base Camp with the yurts during our 2022 East Greenland adventure, we had a super unique trip because of NatHab and our awesome guides Marlo and Daniel and the local NatHab folks. Why not have some fun and get photographed sitting on a small piece of an iceberg in Tasiilaq Harbor in a downpour?! This photo was taken by my husband and fellow traveler, Bob, who has taught me so much about photography. I am learning with each trip, and I only use my phone camera.Vote for this photo in the Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest People’s Choice Awards! You can vote once per day, and each time you vote you’ll be entered for the chance to win a $500 Visa Gift Card or a $500 WWF Donation.
