Species: Moose | Location: Glacier National Park, Fishercap Lake, United States Of America
The first couple of days on the Glacier & Waterton: An International Treasure trip we did not see any large animals, but we held on to hope that we would see something before leaving for Waterton Lakes in Canada. Our last morning in Many Glacier our Expedition Leader offered the option to go back to Fishercap Lake in hopes of seeing a moose. Three of us decided to go that morning. As we walked through the woods, our Leader turned around a made moose antler signals with her hands just as we were approaching the lake. Coming out of the woods to see a beautiful bull moose standing in the middle of the lake eating was absolutely amazing! In the silence you could hear him chewing and the occasional grunt. We watched him for as long as we could before having to move on. I zoomed in as much as I could with my camera to capture his face, his antlers, and his expression. We were all so excited and thankful that we decided to go for this one last adventure that morning.
