About The Photographer
I Started taking photos after graduating from college and dental school. My mother was an amateur photographer and gave me a 35mm camera when I graduated from collage. Most of my pictures were taken during travel or of my wife and kids. In 2007 or 2008 I took a week long Photography Workshop with Nevada Weir In Santa Fe, New Mexico and my interest in photography accelerated. At first I was taking general travel pictures (cities, people, landscapes places of interest) but with time I really started to focus on shooting wildlife, which has become my passion. I have been fortunate to be able to travel with several National Geographic and Nat Hab photographers on trips over the years and learn from them. After a trip to Antarctica and South Georgia in 2009 I entered a picture in an Autobon Society photo contest and received Honorable Mention for a Penguin Photograph.Vote for this photo in the Nat Hab's 2024 Guest Photo Contest People’s Choice Awards! You can vote once per day, and each time you vote you’ll be entered for the chance to win a $500 Visa Gift Card or a $500 WWF Donation.
