Herring Gull, Low Tide

During a picnic lunch on Schoodic Peninsula in Acadia National Park, it was low tide and this gull took advantage of an exposed, kelp-covered rock to keep an eye on us -- or maybe it was our lunch that it was keeping an eye on.
