Species: Arctic Fox | Location: Churchill, Manitoba, Canada
Late in the afternoon on a day spent looking for polar bears, our group was privileged to see this Arctic Fox. The shadows were long as we watched the fox scurry on the frozen tundra, listening and looking for lemmings. Seemingly unaware of our presence, the fox would occasionally stop as we watched silently on the back of the Polar Rover, frozen but too excited to notice the frigid temperatures.
