Species: Mountain Gorilla | Location: Bwindi National Parkt, Uganda
It was my first encounter with the gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The silverback was brooding deeper in the forest but still watching over the Habinyanja group. Teenaged gorillas were tumbling, swinging and playing. A mother set her baby down amongst the leaves and twigs to watch the humans that had arrived in the forest. The baby mountain gorilla peeked through the brush. A little one with big dreams.
